We spend so much time and money trying to get leads that we often neglect the crucial steps required to close them RELIABLY.

If you’re like me, investing in lead generation is one of the most significant expenses in your business.

But too many business owners are like the dog in the adage, “the dog never considers what he’ll do if he ever catches the car.”

So, how effective (and structured) are your systems for nurturing and closing those leads once you have them?

The most common “system” I hear from new clients about their lead “management” is basically:

  1. The lead arrives unstructured (email, DM, lead gen service).

  2. They reach out to the lead as soon as they have time.

  3. They follow up on some “schedule” for a few days or weeks.

  4. They mark the lead “lost”.

  5. They blame their frustration on getting bad leads.

  6. Repeat.

That’s how I used to do it as well.

That’s where the AI comes in.

Over the next few weeks, I will focus intensely on this vital part of running a successful business. Today, I want to start by giving an overview of some of the key systems I’ve implemented in my business or for clients that have made a massive difference in close rates (and saved a ton of human time in the process!).

  1. AI-aided Client Proposals: Creating individualized proposals is time-consuming and costly. I use a multi-agent AI system to take discovery call transcripts and create tailored proposals based on each potential client’s unique business needs.

  2. AI-powered Personalized Email/SMS Outreach: We’ve built AI-enabled CRMs for business owners to manage their leads with native AI outreach tools. Additional custom AI automation tools can seamlessly integrate as business needs change and grow.

  3. Speed-to-Lead Outbound AI Voice Agents: As I shared last week, if you can reach out to a lead within 5 minutes, you’re 21x more likely than if you want even 30 minutes. We’ve built a tool many of our clients use that guarantees an outbound AI voice agent will contact every new lead within 5 minutes if a human cannot.

  4. Lead Magnets with AI Personalization: Imagine if each lead received a lead magnet personalized to their individual needs. With AI and automation, I believe this will be the future of lead magnets. We haven’t had the opportunity to build this system out yet.
